Tigros and the Power of Integration: Autonomy, Flexibility, and Control

Tigros is a large-scale retail company founded in 1979. Today, it operates 77 stores across Lombardy and Piedmont.

Over time, Tigros has expanded its application ecosystem with multiple solutions supporting operational and commercial activities, alongside its core management system running on the IBM Power platform.

System integrations were historically based on point-to-point connections, often implemented in batch mode and relying on data retrieval (PULL) mechanisms. This approach resulted in a high level of application coupling and a progressive reduction in flexibility and responsiveness to new business requirements.

To support innovation and enable a more modern and scalable integration model, TIGROS selected Boomi as its integration platform. The project, delivered in collaboration with Syscons, included the definition of integration patterns and the implementation of approximately 30 integration flows, designed to manage and distribute key business objects such as product master data, channel-speciflic assortments, pricing, and promotions.

At the same time, TIGROS invested in training its internal IT resources and in the activation of an Integration Governance service, ensuring operational autonomy and structured control over the integration layer.

By adopting Boomi, Tigros evolved its integration model from a PULL-based approach to a PUSH-based one, increasing data control and significantly reducing time-to-market for new business initiatives.
