The Customer

Costim is an Italian, multidisciplinary industrial group that brings together several companies specializing in the construction and urban development sector, presenting itself as a strategic partner in the transformation of cities.

The Challenge

Offering turnkey solutions with high added value, Costim manages complex projects that require evolved design and management tools capable of ensuring a constant and effective flow of information between the various applications supporting the business. It is precisely from the need to make this information exchange more fluid, structured and monitored that the path of adopting a modern integration platform such as Boomi was born.

To put this innovation project into practice, the Costim team made a selection of the possible solutions available: after careful evaluation, the choice turned to Boomi, a market-leading iPaaS platform whose features ensure a high capacity to respond to the most complex integration needs. Costim then adopted the Boomi Enterprise Platform, entrusting Impresoft Syscons, to lead the entire adoption process: from the initial installation to the design and implementation of the first integration scenarios.

The Solution

Learly implementations involved the integration of new cloud-based solutions, with enterprise legacy systems. "Boomi was a key element in ensuring compliance with the timing and standards required by the business," adds Claudio Fratto, Enterprise Integration Lead, Impresoft Syscons. "The platform soon showed solidity and versatility: in particular, through its ability to interface nimbly with APIs from platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Amazon Business."The latter represent the first two projects with Boomi: data integration between the new and old ERP and between the Amazon platform and management, respectively.

The benefits

Once installed, the integration platform soon became the reference environment for information exchange, the entry point for any integration involving data transfer, present or future. In addition to the technological aspects, such as the ease of interfacing with existing systems, the platform enabled the automation of data synchronization, eliminating redundant manual tasks such as double-entry between systems. In addition, the 2 modularity of development and ease in introducing new requirements are resulting in faster releases and reduced costs to be addressed.
