Can you tell us about your career path and how you came to join Impresoft Syscons?
I graduated with a degree in International Economics, and less than a month after graduation, I joined Syscons. It was my first real step into the working world, and I can say I started off with enthusiasm right away.
From the very first days, I found a very young and welcoming environment that made me feel at ease right away. One of the best things is that professional relationships have evolved over time into personal ones as well: today, some of my colleagues are among the people with whom I share the most about my daily life.
What do you do now?
I’m a Privacy Consultant and I support clients with the more technical aspects of privacy and digital compliance.
I handle tasks such as managing cookie banners, privacy notices, consent collection, and the configurations needed to ensure the proper functioning of privacy-related platforms. It’s a role that combines technological, consulting, and interpersonal aspects, and it allows me to engage with different organizations and clients every day.
What was your onboarding experience like?
Very gradual and well-structured. Right from the first month, I had the opportunity to work on concrete projects and interact directly with clients.
This allowed me to quickly gain confidence and autonomy, while knowing I could always count on the team’s support. I believe this was one of the most important factors in my growth: being given responsibility right from the start, but without being left on my own.
How much did your college education help you?
College provided me with some useful transferable skills, especially in terms of work organization, analytical skills, and interacting with different types of people.
From a technical standpoint, however, I learned almost everything on the job. It was a very stimulating experience because it allowed me to build new skills from scratch and discover an industry I hadn’t known before.
How did your training take place?
My training was a combination of on-the-job coaching, self-study, and structured training.
I had the opportunity to take specific courses on the platforms we use and, at the same time, to work daily with more experienced colleagues. In particular, my mentor guided me through the onboarding process, helping me understand both the technical aspects and the best way to approach daily tasks.
What I appreciated most was the approach: always focused on growth, never making me feel bad about mistakes, but instead turning them into learning opportunities.
Is there a project you look back on with particular satisfaction?
Yes. After starting out working mainly on OneTrust, I was given the opportunity to work on a project that required building a workflow using Power Automate.
It was a completely new challenge. I trained through dedicated courses and had the chance to build a solution from scratch. I really enjoyed it because I was able to experiment, learn new technologies, and test myself in a context different from what I was used to.
It was a great opportunity for growth and showed me just how much Syscons values personal initiative.
How would you describe the team and the work environment?
I’d say the main characteristic is how helpful everyone is.
When you join Syscons, you’ll always find someone ready to lend a hand, share their expertise, or offer support when you’re struggling. This creates a very positive atmosphere, especially for those just starting out in their careers.
Furthermore, working in a team made up of many young people encourages constant exchange of ideas and makes the environment dynamic and stimulating.
Would you recommend Impresoft Syscons to a recent graduate?
Absolutely.
I think it’s an excellent starting point for anyone entering the workforce. It allows you to quickly gain independence, learn on the job, and take on real responsibilities right from the start.
At the same time, you know you can count on people who support you as you grow. It’s a balance I consider very valuable, especially early in your career.
What do you appreciate most about your experience at the company?
The opportunity for continuous growth.
In a short time, I’ve been able to acquire new skills, work on different projects, interact with clients and colleagues, and challenge myself in ever-changing contexts.
It’s an environment that encourages curiosity and a desire to learn, and this makes every day an opportunity to take a step forward.
What convinced you to join Syscons during the interview?
What struck me right away was the idea of a company that cares about people, not just the organization’s interests. I was looking for an environment that was “tailored” to individual growth, and Syscons conveyed exactly that to me.
Plus, the young and dynamic atmosphere seemed perfect for staying up to date: in a field like IT, if you don’t continuously learn and experiment, you risk falling behind.
Once you joined, were your expectations met?
Yes, absolutely. I already knew someone who worked at Syscons. This colleague had told me a lot about the work environment and the projects, so my expectations were high. And they were met: I’ve been happy here both personally and professionally. For me, both aspects are essential: if one or the other is missing, it becomes difficult to carry out projects with enthusiasm.
You transitioned from an internal IT role to the Integration team. How did that change come about?
It was a natural transition. While working in internal IT, I’d already been involved in integration-related tasks, such as Power Automate workflows. A current colleague on my team noticed this interest and suggested I try out the Integration team.
The initial training wasn’t easy—I prefer to learn by doing—but it was the right push. After getting certified, I was immediately involved in a real project with my manager, and from there I was able to learn quickly, both about technical integration and consulting aspects, such as client interaction and managing estimates.
What kind of projects do you work on today as an Integration Consultant?
I work on different platforms and with different clients, which has allowed me to develop cross-functional skills. In short, we manage and orchestrate data: we take it from a source system and move it to target systems, transforming it into the correct format and ensuring that every process runs smoothly.
For example, I worked on a project for a client related to their new e-commerce site: we handled all stages of the order process—from the warehouse to customer communications, including pricing and balances—by orchestrating data across different systems.
What’s the work environment like at Syscons?
There’s a very collaborative atmosphere. Even though integration work can be done almost entirely remotely, I often go to the office: for me, social interaction is essential. Working alongside people from other teams is a real plus, because it allows you to get to know the company better, understand who does what, and even create useful connections between different projects.
What would you say to a young person about to join Syscons as an Integration Consultant?
It’s not an easy role to explain, but the heart of our work is enabling different systems to communicate through data. It’s a stimulating job, because every project is different and forces you to grow.
To anyone thinking about joining Syscons, I’d say: go for it. It’s a company that challenges you, supports you, and gives you the chance to try out different roles. I’m living proof of that: I joined in one role, but my curiosity and desire to learn led me to change paths and find my way into integration.
